Job Description
Holland Enterprises is excited to announce an immediate hiring opportunity for experienced and aspiring Long-Haul Truck Drivers based out of our Fargo, North Dakota hub. We are specifically seeking skilled professionals interested in dedicated or rotational routes that involve cross-border operations, including significant travel to British Columbia, Canada. As a Long-Haul Truck Driver with Holland Enterprises, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of temperature-controlled freight across state lines and international borders. Our state-of-the-art fleet features newer model trucks equipped with advanced safety and comfort features, ensuring a productive and pleasant journey. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial tractor-trailer in accordance with DOT, FMCSA, and Canadian transportation regulations.
- Transport temperature-controlled freight, primarily to and from British Columbia, Canada, and various U.S. states.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Accurately complete logbooks, bills of lading, and all necessary paperwork, including customs documentation.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and adapt to unforeseen delays with effective communication.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding delays, accidents, or other traffic and delivery issues.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and maintained at the correct temperature throughout transit.
- Represent Holland Enterprises professionally at all times when interacting with clients, customs officials, and the public.
- Maintain cleanliness of company equipment.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
- Minimum of 24 months verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and PSP report
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport for cross-border travel to Canada
- Familiarity with ELD (Electronic Logging Device) operations
- Strong understanding of DOT, FMCSA, and Canadian transportation regulations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and maneuvering freight
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with cross-border operations (US-Canada)
- Valid FAST card or ability to obtain one
- Experience with refrigerated (reefer) freight
- Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement
