Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive chairside assistance to dentists during a wide range of dental treatments, including restorative, surgical, endodontic, and prosthetic procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and equipment, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
  • Accurately take, process, and mount dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to radiation safety guidelines.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to strict infection control protocols.
  • Maintain precise patient records, including dental histories, treatment progress notes, and appointment schedules using digital systems.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, post-operative care instructions, and preventative measures.
  • Manage and organize dental supplies inventory, placing orders as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Prepare various dental materials, such as impression materials, cements, and restorative composites.
  • Provide comfort and support to patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.
  • Collaborate effectively with dentists, dental hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a harmonious clinic atmosphere.

Required Skills

  • Certified Dental Assistant (Tandsköterska) qualification in Sweden.
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in dental radiography techniques and digital imaging.
  • Solid understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
  • Excellent knowledge and application of infection control and sterilization standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
  • Proficiency with dental practice software (e.g., Opus Dental, T4) is highly advantageous.
