Job Description
We are urgently seeking a dedicated and proactive Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our expanding team in Poznań. This critical role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our diverse facilities, including retail stores, offices, and potentially support infrastructure. As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will be on the front lines, responding to maintenance requests, performing preventative checks, and ensuring all building systems are in optimal working condition. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of company facilities to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
- Perform skilled repairs and maintenance tasks across various areas, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building upkeep.
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies, troubleshooting issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs or projects, ensuring quality and adherence to schedules.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring availability as needed.
- Provide technical support and guidance to on-site personnel regarding facility-related issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for facility management processes and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related technical field.
- Strong technical knowledge in at least two of the following areas: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general building construction.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in Polish.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between facilities within the region as required.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical vocational degree or certification in a relevant trade (e.g., electrician, plumber, HVAC technician).
- Experience working in a retail or multi-site environment.
- Basic knowledge of facility management software systems.
- Ability to communicate in English at a basic level.
