Job Description

As a Client Relationship Manager with a flexible schedule at Nordea, you will be instrumental in nurturing and expanding relationships with our valued corporate and institutional clients in Finland. This role demands a proactive, results-oriented professional with a passion for understanding client needs and delivering tailored financial solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor, navigating complex financial landscapes to support our clients’ strategic objectives. The flexible schedule empowers you to blend remote work with necessary in-person client meetings and team collaborations at our Helsinki office. Your responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities, preparing comprehensive financial proposals, negotiating terms, and ensuring an exceptional client experience from initial contact through ongoing service delivery. You will collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders, including product specialists and credit analysts, to construct holistic solutions that address our clients’ evolving financial requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with a portfolio of corporate and institutional clients.
  • Proactively identify client needs and cross-selling opportunities for Nordea’s financial products and services.
  • Prepare and present tailored financial solutions and proposals, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Conduct regular client reviews to assess satisfaction, identify potential issues, and gather feedback for service improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product development, credit, legal) to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to provide informed advice and identify new business avenues.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, track progress, and achieve agreed-upon revenue and client satisfaction targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, external regulations, and ethical standards in client interactions.
  • Participate in industry events and networking activities to enhance Nordea's presence and identify new prospects.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in client relationship management, sales, or business development within the financial services sector (minimum 5 years).
  • Strong understanding of corporate banking products, services, and financial markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English and Finnish.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with high-level corporate and institutional clients.
  • Strategic thinking with a client-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • CFA or other relevant industry certifications.
  • Experience with Nordic corporate clients and understanding of the Finnish business landscape.
  • Proficiency in Swedish is a plus.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing client portfolios.
