Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess insurance applications, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze risk factors, including financial data, loss history, and relevant industry information, to determine policy eligibility and appropriate premium rates.
- Make informed underwriting decisions on new business, renewals, and endorsements, clearly documenting rationale.
- Collaborate with sales agents, brokers, and internal teams to provide underwriting support, guidance, and solutions.
- Manage a diverse book of business, prioritizing workflows to meet service level agreements and business objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the insurance landscape.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of underwriting processes and guidelines.
- Participate in virtual team meetings and training sessions to foster knowledge sharing and professional development.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in underwriting, preferably in property & casualty or commercial lines.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

- Proficiency in using underwriting software and risk assessment tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
