Job Description
We are urgently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our essential team in Gdańsk. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and comprehensive preventive maintenance on various building systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting.
- Execute minor repairs, refurbishments, and improvements across diverse facility elements, such as furniture, fixtures, and interior structures.
- Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance requests and service calls, efficiently diagnosing and troubleshooting issues to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Coordinate and meticulously oversee work performed by external contractors and specialized service providers, ensuring strict adherence to LPP's safety standards and quality expectations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs conducted, and scheduled inspections for compliance and historical tracking.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facility at all times.
- Manage the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, initiating timely purchase requests when necessary to prevent shortages.
- Assist proactively in the setup, relocation, and dismantling of office equipment, furniture, and internal partitions as required for organizational changes or projects.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a facilities maintenance, building technician, or similar technical role.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC principles, and general building maintenance practices.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues.
- Proficiency in safely using common hand tools, power tools, and relevant diagnostic equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of interacting professionally with staff and external vendors.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, lift and move heavy objects safely, and work in various physical conditions (e.g., climbing ladders, confined spaces).
- Basic computer literacy for logging tasks, managing work orders, and email communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical vocational degree, certificate, or professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., electrical, HVAC, building services).
- Prior experience working specifically within a commercial, retail, or corporate office environment.
- Valid Category B driving license.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local Polish health and safety regulations pertinent to facility management.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
