Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and invoices for accuracy and damage.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and compliance with shipping regulations.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training and certification may be provided).
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by updating the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with incoming and outgoing stock.
  • Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Coordinate with delivery drivers, internal departments, and carriers to schedule and facilitate timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Keep the shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk or similar warehouse role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and documentation.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and using warehouse management systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good verbal communication skills in German or English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift operator certification (e.g., Industrial Truck Operator License).
  • Experience with SAP or other major Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
  • Prior experience in a large-scale logistics or manufacturing environment.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
