Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and invoices for accuracy and damage.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and compliance with shipping regulations.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training and certification may be provided).
- Maintain accurate inventory records by updating the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with incoming and outgoing stock.
- Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations to optimize space and accessibility.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers, internal departments, and carriers to schedule and facilitate timely pickups and deliveries.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keep the shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk or similar warehouse role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and documentation.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and using warehouse management systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good verbal communication skills in German or English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift operator certification (e.g., Industrial Truck Operator License).
- Experience with SAP or other major Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
