Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized, professional, and enthusiastic Front Desk Coordinator to join our esteemed team at the Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, processing check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately.
- Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the hotel's property management system.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, facilities, local attractions, and transportation options.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and effective problem-solving.
- Process payments, manage cash handling, and maintain accurate billing records, ensuring financial integrity.
- Operate the hotel's telephone switchboard, directing calls to appropriate departments and taking messages as needed.
- Maintain a tidy, organized, and welcoming front desk area, reflecting the hotel's high standards.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, including housekeeping, concierge, and restaurant staff, to ensure seamless guest experiences and resolve any inter-departmental issues.
- Assist with administrative tasks as required, such as mail distribution, package handling, and report generation for management.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, safety procedures, and local regulations to guarantee a secure and enjoyable environment for guests and staff.
Required Skills
- Previous experience (at least 1 year) in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably at a hotel front desk or similar guest-facing position.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Latvian (verbal and written) to interact effectively with a diverse clientele.
- Proficiency in using hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio) or similar booking software.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask efficiently in a busy and dynamic environment.
- Problem-solving abilities and a calm, composed demeanor under pressure to handle unexpected situations gracefully.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions, guest information, and administrative tasks.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per hotel operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional language proficiency (e.g., Russian, German, French) to cater to our international guests.
- Hospitality-related diploma or degree from a recognized institution.
- Extensive experience with POS systems and robust cash handling procedures.
