Job Description

As a Network Administrator, you will be instrumental in the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our robust network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our services. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability, performing network troubleshooting and problem resolution as needed.
  • Manage and maintain network security, including firewall rules, VPN configurations, and access controls, to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Implement and manage network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS) and services (DNS, DHCP, NTP).
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to support server, application, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, patches, and firmware updates during scheduled maintenance windows.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical network support outside of business hours.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior network personnel and other departments.
  • Conduct regular network audits and implement best practices to ensure compliance and optimal performance.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar enterprise-grade network equipment.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with scripting for network automation (Python, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management principles.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
